PGNiG TERMIKA Energetyka Przemyśl Sp. o.o. is a special purpose company, established by the founding act of December 4, 2020, in which ORLEN Termika S.A. is a 100% shareholder.
The purpose of PGNiG TERMIKA Energetyka Przemyśl is to carry out activities aimed at achieving energy security of the city of Przemyśl by ensuring a stable heat supply while taking care of the environment and reducing emissions of pollutants generated by the generating units in the Zasanie Heating Plant. The company will pursue this objective through a 30-year lease of the assets of the Zasanie Heating Plant located at ul. Emilii Plater 8 in Przemyśl from Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej w Przemyślu sp. z o.o. and the implementation of an investment program related to the modernization of the Zasanie Heating Plant.
In addition, a new Przemyśl CHP Plant will be launched at the premises of the heating plant in the second quarter of 2022. The Przemyśl CHP Plant will use cogeneration gas engines with a total electrical power of 5.2 MW. The investment in new gas sources is being carried out by ORLEN Termika S.A..
On March 2, 2021, the Company was entered into the National Court Register under the number 0000886150. The company’s registered office is located at ul. Modlińska 15 in Warsaw. The duration of the company is indefinite.
The total installed capacity of the Zasanie Heating Plant is 80.15 MW. The generating sources responsible for producing heat for the district heating system are:
- 2 WR-25 grate water boilers with a capacity of 29.07 MW
- 1 WR-10 grate water boiler with a capacity of 10 MW
- 1 WR-12 grate water boiler with a capacity of 12 MW
